Yes and No. Our rich and unique culture is what stopped our people from getting assimilated through all the various occupations. Of course its a problem today and not really compatible with modern mentality. HOWEVER, the patriarchy in Albania has changed today. For example, people choose themselves who they want to marry.

Yes, village is always more traditional so it's not much of a surprise. Cities are different story though, full of hipsters and other fags whose ''culture'' was imported in last few years. It's a rule in whole Europe.
