Mixing happens when people live together in a country. It always does.

The only Bulgarians who have mixed with Turks are Pomaks and even in that case it's quite minimal. Turks were hated by the christian population and lived in their isolated ghettos. Just like the Jews in North Europe.

Turks in Bulgaria live separate from bulgarians. Except 3 regions ethinally mixed
They dont intermarry with us. I know 1 bulgarian woman married for muslum and the kids are muslim

There was surely mixing with Turks, but religion was very strong dividing factor back then. So Bulgarians who married Turks always had to convert to Islam and be Turkified eventually. So the mixing was one-way only. The Turks are part Bulgarians, but the Bulgarians have almost no Turkish influence. Only in recent decades there has been a low level of assimilation and intermarriage now that both we and our Turks are mainly atheist.

Square-headed stereotype Bulgarians look similar to other south slavs, but none of the anthrofora Bulgarians i've seen so far looks nothing like that.. They look similar to Greeks, Coastal Romanians and Turks..
