I love anything with heels and straps.
Once I got locked into a small green square in London
with my bf by accident one evening.
The gatekeeper locked the gates and he didn't realise
that we both sitting on a bench in the square.
The square was lined with quite high black metal spikes
all around the gates and along the fence edges of the squares perimeter,
and the only way we could escape from the pretty square
that evening was to climb over the spiked railed fence.
My bf managed to do it first (but he's a few inches taller than me
and was wearing flat boots which made it easier for him to climb over,)
and then I managed to do it whist wearing high heel sandals...
...and I managed to climb onto the top of the fence railing
in the narrow parts between the metal spikes of the fence
without injuring myself, and he helped to lift me down on the other side of the fence.
I've always felt that I can do anything wearing my heels
ever since escaping from that square over the spiked fence whilst wearing them!!
I've very high arches in my feet and wearing heels isn't a problem with the arch section.
I feel self-conscious when I'm not wearing heels and walk around my home on my toes instead.
The velvety-looking straps around the ankles and leg looks very soft and comfortable
against the skin in the picture above.
I have a similar pair of sandals to these ones below, except in a soft pale pink shade,
(I don't wear them often as they're difficult to keep clean and stain easily,)
and the straps on them are a silky ribbon texture which doesn't cut into the soft skin,
rather than leather straps which cut into the skin when you move around in them.
I love the chic colour of these soft charcoal-grey ones though as it makes a soft change from black sandals.
The trick is not to wrap the straps on them too tightly against the skin,
which will cut your blood circulation too if you do.
