    Default Zero Interest Rate Policy

The article starts out with some nice quotes, but then the conclusions it draws I am not sure about.
But a more sinister aspect of the zero-interest-rate policy which has not been highlighted by any economist or financial commentator is that the United States under the present Bush regime has declared to the entire world that the United States cannot and will not service anymore interest payments on the nation’s outstanding debts amounting to trillions.

I had not heard this before. Is there any validity to this statement, or is it disinformation?

It couldn't be true, could it?
I imagine it would had been on CNN or at least BBC. Something like this would be causing a huge uproar @ the IMF and UN.

When you put is this way, I think you are correct.
I am checking for information or opinions on the subject.

There's a good chance that zero interest will be a possibility in the near future, but deflation is what the fiscal analysts are really worried about.

Now that I read up on it a little more, I agree. They are trying to reinflate the economy, around the world even. It works in mathematical equations, but they have to keep consumer confidence going also.

Agreed, but it's so funny to see that consumer confidence has disappeared completely. I think that so many analysts don't really know what they're talking about.

Consumer Confidence was at an all time low in this household.

Zero Interest Rate Policy? I think someone forgot to tell the credit card companies.
