Three things that caught my attention.
1- The ''ashkenazi'' percentage is obviously not coming from Spaniards, who usually don't score it on 23andme.
2- The ''northern'' component varies a lot, it does not correlate with the amount of European percentage that the person scores.
3- Where is the sporadic ''eastern european'' coming from?
Your thoughts?

I know there were immigrants to Mexico that came from Poland and in a lesser extent from Russia in late 1800's early 1900's, maybe they are letting us to show their trace in such genetical markers.
Same with Ashkenazi. IMO for what I see crypto jewish presence in New Spain's Viceroyaly has been underestimated.
The Battle of San Pasqual was a military encounter that occurred during the Mexican-American War in what is now the San Pasqual Valley community of the city of San Diego, California. On December 6 and December 7, 1846, the Californios, and their Presidial Lancers, led by General Don Andres Pico, (1810-1876), defeated Stephen W. Kearny´s US Army column of 150 men.

During those periods the number of Polish and Soviet Union immigrants was meaningless. And they mainly arrived to Mexico City. The samples I provided are random with people from Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Chihuahua, Zacatecas, Sinaloa, Durango, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, etc.
Maybe you are right in your last conclusion, the number of Sephardic Jews was greater than we think and were part of the founding groups of colonists of the important cities across Mexico, hence, the admixture showing up systematically among Mexicans.
