Ok, i guess what i was trying to say was that name does not change what you are, your nationality/ethnicity.
For example if i give my child a name Takeru Susumi that does not make him japanese, but i like that name so i give it to him.

During summer when i was with a friend in Talsi i met a girl and her name was Hanna, thats a german name, right? But she's latvian.

We were talking about surnames and not about prenames!! Latvians can have all prenames but surnames show from where people do come. And no Hanna is not a German name its a Hebrew name! But many people in Europe use it, its no problem.
