No Relationship, No Problem?

I have been single for 99,99% of my life and I love it. Relationship takes a lot of your money and more importantly time, time you could otherwise spend more productively. My life is centered around self-improvement and I need every hour I can get to enhance my physical and cerebral fitness. I enjoy freedom as well. To be honest browsing the Apricity forum is a huge waste of time for me and writing this junk was a costly mistake. Perhaps I'm in a pseudo-relationship with TA.

Having written all this, I would nevertheless be in a relationship if I found the perfect lady.

Long time I had the same view as you, but bear in mind that the "perfect woman" does not exist.
Only if you get rid of this illusion you will be able to find a partner.
But I agree with you. You have to dedicate lots of time to your relationship and so time for self improvement is kind of reduced at least.

I'm well aware of that. Finding a partner has never been a priority for me though. Perhaps in 5 years or so I shall (slightly) lower my standards.

I'm happily married and love my wife, but any honest person will admit there are trade-offs to being in a committed relationship versus being single. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. I decided that the advantages of marriage far outweighed the disadvantages, which is why I got married and stayed married.
