I'm a harnizo too. It's weird being a harnizo, you know? I mean, here in my country nobody cares about that because we are the majority and in these times, things about race are less importants. But i think it would be hard being a mestizo or harnizo in the beggining of the colonial times.

Vascontelo have you tried the K45 (now K47) calculator which splits your Native ancestry into several admixtures?

For example here is what Sioux-1 (parents from Rosebud and Lower Brule Reservations in South Dakota) scores (but "North-Amerind" admixture is based only on extreme Northern Athabaskans, which is why this Sioux scores more of "Meso-Amerind"):

What amazes me is how many pure Native Americans I found on GEDmatch. It was just enough to use "people who match one or two of both kits" with a 100% Hopi and a 100% Sioux, and I found like few hundreds of Native Americans who had matching segments with them. And many of them are 90-100% Native contrary to the myth that supposedly there are no pure Native Americans in the USA or Canada.

I also have a Quackenbush guy who matches with me on GEDmatch, and he is mostly of colonial stock, and he scores 1% Native American.

So a lot of White Americans who are of mostly colonial stock do have some Amerindian ancestry.

But the ones who claim 1/16 Cherokee ancestry usually end up scoring 0% Native.

Yeah these guys with several % of Native admixture usually identify as Whites.

While actual Indians, who are enrolled in tribes, are most often at least 1/2 Native.
