The funny thing is, there´s been a lot of talk about "Iberians" in this thread. With "Iberians" Spaniards and Portuguse are usually meant. But how many of you know, that actually ancient Georgia was called "Iberia", thus they too (lol) are "Iberians".

In Al-Andalus 90% of native Iberians were Muslim, but they converted voluntarily. Georgians on the other hand resisted any attempt at Islamization even when under Muslim rule.

On other hand i recently saw many other trees of geneologists that have one of mine and their common ancestor. showing decended from a conquistador. Another line of that ancestor was shown to be from la mancha.

I descend from conquistadores, as any Spaniard. I am from Castilla y León while my ancestors came from the mountains of Cantabria and my surname, even if rare, also passed to Americas via ultra famous hidalgos
