There are many good ways to try and quit smoking, I think it all depends on the person though, it's easier for some people to quit smoking, while for others it may be extremely difficult.

Buy and use an electronic cigarette and reduce the strength of the nicotine fluid over time.

I already have one. At one point I was without a real smoke for a month or so. I currently did my last cigarette and I'll try to stay on the e-cigarette.

But whenever the battery runs out, our the fluid runs out (I usually try to keep it topped), then I have a problem.

But I'll give the e-cigarette a 2nd chance, it might work if I really try.

Have seen a few of them now. Was confused at first, because smoking has been banned from public places for years. Now we have those vapour ciggies.

E-cigarettes have been extremely popular in Estonia for a year now. You see them everywhere here. Most young people (smokers) whom I know, have one.

Estonia/the Estonians has always been a pioneer in implementing new things, I don't know why.

I finally became more grossed out by it than anything....which led to my lack of enjoyment of smoking....and hence I was able to quit back in 2000. It helped that I had wanted to take up running

My dad used Chantix to quit. Worked well for him.

I hate the smell of smoking, I hate the taste of smoking and I hate people who smoke around non-smokers.

But I still tend to smoke sometimes. I'm a 1 1/2 packs a week guy. I usually smoke Kent HD Silver, it has carbon filters and doesn't have the crappy shit taste of average smokes. My smoking friends who have smoked a lot longer than I have and who smoke quite strong stuff, say that Kent doesn't taste like true smoke and it feels like smoking air. As I have understood, they love the crappy shit disgusting taste of average smokes.

Kent and Parliament might be the most expensive smokes on the market here, but I don't do anything besides them, unless shitfaced drunk.

I finally quit. For me I am a hypochondriac, and my worries about my health were enough to outweigh the nicotine cravings.
