Every year, I go down to the Toronto Royal Winter Fair, mainly for the Royal Horse show... And every now and then we are treated to the RCMP musical, its one of those things that make me proud to be Canadian.

So to other Canadians, what are national symbols or traditions that are a source of pride to you?

Yeah, the Musical Ride is awesome! Living in Ottawa of course we get to see them abit more often than most other Canadians. They usually put on a Sunset Ride during the summer at their equestrian park. It's always fun to watch. School kids from around here are also able to enter contests to name their foals every Spring too.

Hmm my favourite Canadian symbols...this time of year, Lord Stanley's Cup which oddly enough our American neighbours seem as eager to get their hot little hands on as we do.




I actually like our flag!! Always have (and I'm not revisiting that argument with anyone here thanks very much! )




I also very much like our nickel: I don't know, quirky with a beaver on it I guess, but it is sooooooo Canadian, and comforting.




Ohh and lastly, chip trucks that sell poutine! C'est trop bon!
