How common is it for Poles to be able to pass in UK/Ireland?

Sometimes. I find they sometimes look a bit like the Irish. I guess there are some who look eastern European straight away and others who don't. Like i saw a couple of Lithuanians in a motorway service station a few months back, thought they were British until they got into a Lithuanian car. Not that Poles and Lithuanians are the same of course, but i think it's a case of hit and miss.

I don't know. I think a light pigmented Iberian would fit better here than an average Pole because they look more western, but a normal Pole would stand out less than a darker Iberian. We are roughly halfway between the two genetically so i think it makes sense.

That is true, but at the same time, average Poles would stand out due to their ''Eastern'' facial features, which is not common in Brits.
