If we exclude Turks and Greeks living there, Student's town is the most representative place in Bulgaria
While I recognize FYROM as an independent country, I don't recognize Macedonians south of Skopie as different ethnic group and I will always mention them when speaking about Bulgarian history, culture and anthropology.
OK, let's not go offtopic. I decide to show two classes from Sofia which are visibly different one another. This often happens in Sofia, or any other place where Bulgarians with ancestry from Salonica to Ismail and Pirot to Istanbul live.

How do you know who have ancestry from Aegean and who not?
Or you think Aegean bulgarians and Bulgarians from east Thrace brought more dark types in Bulgaria?

I don't think that Bulgarians from Eagean Macedonia are darker on average. The climate there is not even Mediterranean and the people never mixed with Greeks very often as in Eastern Thrace.

Bulgaria is similar to Romania in that the Alpines and Dinarics are more common in the mountains and Pontics more frequently encountered in the east.
