I think it's sad for the EU states who are in the Eurozone losing their individual currencies. Most of the northern European nations still keep their own currencies. It's like a part of their own cultural identity has been lost with it. This video of French people changing their traditional Francs for euros made me feel sad. I think the French should hold onto their old currency as these notes will be worth a lot of value in rare antique collections in the future.

Half of German people were reported as wanting their own currency back too. The deutschmark is still legal tender there.
