Yes, Hollywood (like all of popculture) went crap. Not like I do care much but that's something you're imposed to somehow.

Potentially so, but what about our lifestyles as well? I eat very healthy, especially for my brain's sake.. a lot of fish, canned, cooked.. Very good for your brain. How many people, especially young folk, would actually be open to eating that shit? They'd be too closed minded to even bother trying it, or have already hated it. Their brain cells' loss, I guess. lol
They probably eat all shit, like I used to as a child.. Probably somehow retarding their physical and mental growth/maturity to some degree, and making them heavy and out of shape mentally and physically..
In spite of the fact that pop culture has never particularly cared for artistic integrity and whatnot, a lot of pop music/films have certainly borrowed from the more daring, independent art scenes of their time. Perhaps there's less of that nowadays, considering there's less of an identifiable musical and film scene? I think that modern day American movie makers are either running out of ideas, or just looking for easy cash. Those can be the only two major potential explanations that I could really imagine.

You're not the only one who thinks so. Croats are the biggest fans of Hollywood films in Europe, and we do not like European films. We have never loved european movies. 1 month ago was a French film about a girl and the first half hour was a little girl in the snow looking for a fox, if I remember corectly, terribly boring film to commit suicide.
I've always loved melodrama, drama and Hollywood B production, the so-called family movies. I think the B production will never get bored because it suits my character.
