The answer as to why Hollywood films are becoming worse is conspiracy. Each generation is getting to see more sex, more violence, more horror. Movie plots are becoming dumber and dumber with each generation. Over last few years they have introduced defecation and urination as normal aspects of repertoire. Hollywood is definitely degrading and degenerating itself and entire humanity. I don't know why.

Not sure if this is true but the impression I've been getting about American films in the past 50 years is that producers are unwilling to invest in films that are highly creative and 'new'. Probably because producers need and care more for money they rather trust what's going to bring in more green. It's insane how much people will pay well known actors to be in their movie just to draw the general population in. These people can make more money in one film than most people could in a life-time.

IB was ok imo, but not "wow", Django was also ok, but I kept seeing Waltz as a continuation of his role in IB for some reason. Yet these two movies are not 10 out of 10 imo.

Well, first and for most it is a brainwashing machine. If money can be made along the way, it is even better.

I think you underestimate how dumb people are. What I said, is now funny. Just look at new comedies like "This Is The End", it is beyond "Idiocracy".
