Default What Attracts You Most About the Opposite Sex?

Setting aside looks, the following are constants for me:

1.) Personality: Funny, good natured, etc.

2.) Vulnerability: Women forget sometimes that men are designed to be attracted to this.

3.) Heart: Is she spunky? Brave?

4.) 'Momminess': How might this woman be as a mother?

    5.) Smarts: If I can't have a conversation with a woman...meh.
Often, in our attempts to show people that they do not know what they believe they do, it is exposed that they lack any identity whatsoever - beyond the belief that they know anything at all.

What attracts me in the opposite sex is often really what is lacking in males and what makes females absolutely necessary as the completion of males. A world with only males would be a dead one.

And with that, I am thinking of their sensitivity, and as you say, vulnerability, their "maternity" and motherliness in caring for others. What is sometimes the male afraidness of such things as showing how you care for others in an intimate way, is something that can be rather annoying and isolating and deficient. I think a virtue for females can be their ability to express their relations to other persons more uncompromisingly and without the kind of "macho" emotional life which pretends to be a brick of stone, that some males tend to, and which masks its true feelings and motivations behind a veil of toughness which isn't real or virtuous.

But of course, all this doesn't mean I think all members of the opposite sex actually have any of those virtues.

Some of them are become just like boys or men in their character and virtues and vices, which makes me sick, since they are doing a disservice to themselves, to the world and to males.

There is definately something innate to the dimorphism of sex and gender that provides the gravity for each to each: the union of opposites, so to speak. You seem to prasie this in one stroke; but in the next object to maleness...am I wrong? I see that you've qualified your statments with 'pretense' and 'masks' and such, but I would hope that a man who lacks male virtue would at least have the gumption to project the image; and in so doing, perhaps get lucky and fall back-asswards into Manhood.

And besides, the great many women out there are faking being that; so I suppose they all can gravitate to one another and be fake together.

Vulnerability? Strange that men should be attracted to something that is so dangerous for women to show....

A Man wouldn't take advantage. He would seek to enlighten, expand and protect it.

I don't object to malehood. I even think malehood is among the best things that have happened on a cosmic and eternal level. But I do object to it's selfsufficiency, and it's simplistic distortion, is all.

There are not many women, either.

There is only this large mass of hybrids, that can be collectively designated as "unclean filth".

[psychoanalysis]It's just interesting that your first instinct was to point out what is 'wrong' with men/manhood, that's all.[/psychoanalysis]

    Were there ever...?

It's exceedingly difficult to not draw a circle around our selves and experiences and call it the cosmos.

What would special be, were it not rare?
