No, it isn't. Income distribution is measured by a whole different set of formulas.

the only thing which is missing are shares and assets but your monthly income is pretty much what people care about in the first place

Let's say;

In country A, 1000 people earn $1000 per month.
In country B, one person earns $999,001 and 999 people earn $1 per month.

In both countries the average wage will be $1000.
