Sri Lanka? Pakistan is Muslim, Sri Lanka is Buddhist. It's two different universes! Racially there maybe some connection, geographically it is obvious,they both are in South Asia, culturally no connection. Sinhala the official language of Sri Lanka is Indo-Aryan but distinct from all others in the family. I would live in Sri Lanka no problem. Even in India if I had to, in Pakistan no way.

Pakistan split from India 1948 because they are predominantly Muslim.
Ethnically they are Indians, but also India is diverse

A-) Racially; Pakistanis and northern Indians are same.
B-) Culturally; I think their cultures are somewhat similar but pakistanis also have some islamic and persian influences
C-) Geographically; they are both southern asians.

and IMO, pakistanis are just muslim northern Indians.
