Albert Einstein: Plagiarist of the Century?

Einstein plagiarised the work of several notable scientists in his 1905 papers on special relativity and E=mc2, yet the physics community has never bothered to set the record straight.

It makes sense. People who get the spotlight and all the credit often just use Machiavellian tactics to get noticed and respected. People are such sheep they put these people up on pedestals without question while their peers or true contributors go ignored. Why does everyone know Einstein but hardly know of any of his peers? That alone should raise suspicion.

It's the same as Edison ripping of Tesla and destroying his career while taking all the credit.

The same is with Tesla now that you mention it. Numerous of Tesla's achievements were achieved by someone else simultaneously but nobody is saying anything about Tesla, (since he was not Jewish).

Regarding the paper Tuan posted is mixture of various papers taking out of context in a sense that in every paper cited there is probably attack on a problem and than doing quite the opposite and written only what suits the author the best.

Indeed many people before thought about energy-mass relation or equivalence and it is nothing strange. Some of them managed to derive the equation in 19th century but without any reference to the Theory of Relativity (since it was not developed back than obviously). Poincare came the closest but his concept of energy-mass equivalence had some problems and led to the so called Poincare Paradox. Finally Einstein's concept of the mass-energy equivalence resolved the Poincare Paradox, derived the equation correctly as it is said first to interpret mass–energy equivalence as a fundamental principle that follows from the relativistic symmetries of space and time.

    LoL at people.

No, I don't believe he plagiarized. Of course, many other disciplines of science had to be involved, so many mathematicians, engineers, astronomers were directly related to his work. But all of them are fairly mentioned. If he did it on his own, I am sure we would all accuse him of being a polymath or a charlatan!
