From what I've appreciated, the difference both in Galicia and Portugal is more coast vs inland than N vs S.

Also people from Porto have a bit of a distinct look from what i've seen. Like this singer, he doesn't strike me as galician looking.. but i could be wrong.

To my experience I can't see major differences from Galícia to Algarve. Southerners get more sun and usually used to work more on the outside, that's all. We all came from there (Galicia and northern Portugal). Whatever we were before, we fled there and we mixed up there and then came south to occupy the southern lands and become what we are today. Differences may be greater from west to east, at least culturally they are.
