For a starter, how many times have drivers stopped in zebra crossings for you to cross the street? How many times have you tried to stop as a driver?

Lets be real, the indifference and lack of any social attitude in athens is just disappointing.

I know it is Greeks home affair, but all the large cities full of these things Epirot describes. Our capital Budapest full of immigrants, crap, dirt and hick people, but I would not present these to the foreign ones. I would present the Castle, the bridges, the nice streets what Absinthe have done.

You could see this in Budapest in the inner City or in the Suburbs, but this is a dazzle for the western tourist, side by side the City and the Suburbs are full of homeless people...

Well, it must have happen for a reason. I have never been called nasty names, and whenever wanted any help, never got a nasty attitude either.

True. I've been in Athens at least hmm 10 times and never had any kind of problems with the ppl over there, no matter that I'm 'kseni' they are all polite.
I dislike Acropolis during summer when temps are + million degrees and somehow I always end up climbing over there in the mid of the summer 'cause of my friends who MUST go there or drop dead lol!

Don`t take it personal, but I have never been intrested in Greece and the cultural heritage of this country. It is not connected to the economy or other issues.
It has always been the case. I just feel no enthusiasm for it.

Why would we take this personal? You are free to love, like, hate or be indifferent to Greek culture as much as you like
