Israel bombed Damascus weapons research facility killing several Syrian Arab Army brigades. Rumors are Syria, Lebanon(Hezbollah included), and possibly Iran will got to war with Israel. There may be a ceasefire between Assad and the rebels but nothing is confirmed.

Wait, how is this in Israel's interest?? It must want to invade Dimashq and literally take it over....Because there's no way it's in its interest to let the Rebels overtake Assad's forces? right?

It's not the first time Israel attack Syria without any Syrian response. last time they attacked Syrian " Nuclear " station which was actually " Oil " factory.... and it's well known that any weapon shipment must escort from Air with some modern Mig-25 and some s-200 missiles.

Research for weapons tech. Still a violation of international law. Rebels if in control of Syria, would've probably continued the project too. This is more of a Syria vs. Israel and less of a rebel vs. Assad thing.

Israel want Al-assad to stay to secure the eastern front from any possible danger on its own country. recently more than 800 died in banias by the Alawite forces which storm the city and begin sacterian cleansing to establish the Alawite state..
