Wonder then the Syrian army is going to launch a massive attack/ or invasion of east Aleppo and then move deeper into eastern Syrian cleansing the place from rebels and terro rists as they move.






Cleansing Damascus, and Homs and then moving in with all they got. Surrounding their areas like in the map bellow, destroying every single one of them like roaches, no mercy:

I think that may well be what they are planning to do. The problem is it's a bit like whack-a-mole for them, at least it was. While their forces win the majority of actual engagements (better organised, equipped and trained) often it's a case that the enemy will take control of villages or towns, then either leave or be pushed out by the army and re-appear somewhere else. It's more like having hundreds of roaming warbands in your country i guess. Well anyway they are legally just criminal groups, the same as bandit groups - And i guess they operate in the same way. The problem is that most of them have a 'victory or death' attitude, so i doubt a peace settlement is possible (or at least with reasonable stability) until most of them have been defeated or driven off.

Oh-Blahhhh-Ma and his criminal allies knows this well, and are desperately trying to destroy Assad's Air force and anti air in order to avoid them any further victories. They'll do anything to avoid a victory.

I think Syria should do is buy some drones from Iran, use them to survey areas difficult to reach by conventional units or vehicles. They could also use this drones to destroy FSA position difficult for the much easy to detect/ see Air force jets to reach.

Combine this tactic with some hardcore guerrilla warfare by the Syrian militants and even create a border patrol division and you have a stronger and diversify defensive/ offensive strategy.

I guess it's difficult because you can't destroy an idea (at the moment Jihad) with guns. Even if Assad wins there will be terrorist attacks for years to come afterwards i expect.
