Celts lived almost everywhere in Europe in the Iron age especially in France and Spain but it seems that they were culturally and linguistically beaten by the invading romans. I can understand it that the Celts adopted the higher developed culture of Romans but I find it kinda stupid that they started to forget their language and spoke only Roman languages after a while. What if the Gauls hadn't adopt Latin languages? Would be the modern French Celtic? What about the Celtiberians? If the Celtiberians hadn't adopted a Latin languages would be the modern Spaniards also a Celtic people?
