Looks like me family is more Eastern European and less Atlantic.
I'm less Atlantic too but I am also much less Eastern European, I've got elevated North Sea & West Med instead - fits well with all the other tests, I already knew I'm more South-Western than Lithuanian average.

It's funny how Estonian is so interchangeable with Belarusian&Ukrainian in the oracle's predictions:
    Least-squares method.

    Using 1 population approximation:

You can get any exotic population, it's normal. However, usually, it's shows a trend which in your case is a clear African-shift. Could be old or recent, straight SSA or through Southern Europe or MENA people. Could be noise too, but I don't know you and your results so I can't tell.

Okay well it seems that Northwest Europeans score highest in the North_Sea component which makes sense. It seems to be Orcadians, Norwegians, Swedes, West Scots (Scottish), Irish, Danish, English and Germans who score the highest in this component. Orcadians, Norwegians and Swedes take the top three spots.

It seems to be a broader based thing, like the North Sea component in K12, rather than the North Central Euro in EUtest V1, which is interesting.

Yes I agree. I asked Polako what he thinks about the origins of these components and when they formed. He told me he does not know and would just be guessing. I still wonder about the origins of them though.

The North Sea component matches pretty well the most lactose tolerant areas in Europe, almost to a tee:

To me that suggests that if the unsuually high lactose tolerance in this area is due to particular practices around farming, that this area may have shared these common practices at some point in history. Just an idea, probably wrong but it did stick out.
