Makes sense I guess. In this PCA with only Europeans to compare with and thus no extra-european affinities to consider, La Braña in upper left corner has a peak in primary northern (dimension 1, vertical) and secondary western (dimension 2, horizontal) components. The western dimension makes sense given his location in Iberia. In dim1 Finns are closest to him, in dim2 Basques and British Islanders are closest. Scandinavians, Swedes especially, are intermediate between aforementioned groups.

This PCA is based on Eurogenes K13 results of La Braña-1, Mal'ta boy, and Europeans. This makes it more of an approximation than the previous PCA, which is based on genomes themselves, but the general picture we get on La Braña still looks reasonably accurate.
