She is Spaniard, if you mean the exact ethnicity without making a mistake, when you mean specifically "Basque" you induce to think that she is genetically of ethnic Basque origin but she is not, she grew up in Bilbao with a Catalan surname.

She was born in the Basque lands but her surname isn't Basque. That doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't have Basque ancestry. Her mother is from the UK.

Dont feed the trolls.Her grandfather was the writer Alberdi and thats a Basque lastname and the Catalan lastname Llasera also has a Basque origin because the Catalans are our blood brothers.These trolls are jealous because they know who the Basques really are.

The surname looks of Catalan origin indeed. Not a common one, though. Probably the female equivalent of Llŕcer/Llŕtzer, which is the Catalan form for the name Lazarus.
