Apostles' Sexuality

I once overheard a Catholic priest tell someone that there was a good chance one of the Apostles was a homosexual. Is this grounds for excommunication? Is there any evidence?

He's talking about Paul and no it's not grounds for excommunication from the Catholic Church and there is at least some evidence towards that

Furthermore, the Catholic position on homosexuality is that being gay isn't sinful, only the physical act of gay sex is sinful. The theory is that Paul was gay (attracted to men) but abstained from having sex.

I dont think Paul was Gay, where do they get the idea from that he was Gay? Is that the official position of the catholic church because that would be considered heresy by the orthodox church im sure.

The priest who told you that was probably homosexual himself. The Apostles were chosen by Jesus himself, so whether you believe they were homosexuals or not depends on whether you see Jesus as an imposter or as God incarnate.
