Psychopath Vs. Sociopath

I know you hero-worship anything that could be seen as intelligent in an atypical way but their unfortunate condition is inherently prejudicial to society.

Accept the world is a duller but more complex place than you'd like it to be and that it would be fairly easy to outsmart them; I suspect few would be unable to resist the temptation of showing of their supposed brilliance to the world; the only problem would be, as you say, getting someone to pull the trigger. The obvious solution would be to hire a select, controlled few to carry out and supervise the massacres. It's not like they're a cohesive demographic, they'll have as much loyalty to each other as sufferers of the flu.

Psychology psychiatry is still highly subjective and in its infancy at best, identification is the issue.

Assuming we are able to identify a genetic marker scientifically, where do we stop, and by what measure do we determine what is to be kept vs discarded?

I have a long list of undesirable genetic traits i would like wiped from the earth, genetic obesity, retardation, schizophrenia, bpd,apd ect ect ect............if you lend yourself to opening pandoras box, it wont be closed, and the top 1% will control your fate before you take your first breath.

That is way to much power to trust to anyone.

Check again, DSM 5 (2013 print) has separated them and defined them differently.

For the record I think psychopath characteristics are a little bullshit. A lot of people have those without turning to criminal behavior. It's more like the personality affects what kind of crime they do if they do crime, it doesn't make them a criminal!

I probably fit most of psychopath profile, but I am not a criminal. Of course as I get older I am much more prone to 'outbursts' but the difference is I can contain myself when I feel like it.

Like I said. Bullshit. Those terms have no place in DSM diagnosises.

Relax everyone. You only have a 1/100th chance of being a psychopath, and a 1/25th chance of being a sociopath.

So no matter how fucked up you think you are (and chances are, if you are on Apricity, you're probably one sick fuck), statistically you're not a psychopath or sociopath. (though the general demographic percentages of these personality profiles are probably higher on TA than in the general population)

The character Ryan O'Reilly on the show Oz was a perfect representation of a psychopath manipulating people to take risks he wouldn't take himself that if successful would benefit him. He was constantly working people and dropping them when they were no longer useful.
