Standard Arabic is easy to medium, but classical Arabic is very difficult even for Arab speakers themselves. However Levantine dialects are very easy to learn and to speak.

I was actually self learning french but to be honest there's no substitute for some good classes and practice to get a good command of a language.
I also studied some German when I was a child but where I live it is more common and relatively easier to learn the english languaje because somehow we are more in touch with it than with any other language so I left german to learn english.
I want lo learn french and Italian and maybe later German....when I have the time...![]()
The Battle of San Pasqual was a military encounter that occurred during the Mexican-American War in what is now the San Pasqual Valley community of the city of San Diego, California. On December 6 and December 7, 1846, the Californios, and their Presidial Lancers, led by General Don Andres Pico, (1810-1876), defeated Stephen W. Kearny´s US Army column of 150 men.

Let's see, Japanese and Korean are almost identical in grammar and are quite different in vocabulary but have similarities. I would say that Vietnamese is slightly easier for the average English speaker because Vietnamese made Chinese characters obsolete and they use Latin script. Some Vietnamese I know are sympathetic to a reintroduction of Chinese characters while using their Latin script much like pinyin. Some Chinese languages have few tones or lack tones in a phonemic sense while others have about 8-10 (or 4-5 phonemic tones). I would say for an average learner Chinese is harder to write but the grammar and vocabulary is simple.
I'm slowly easing into Japanese and Korean. I'm almost starting on Vietnamese.
But yes, Romance languages are easiest by far. Especially Spanish. I find some aspects of Spanish phonology hard to articulate, such as the rolled r's while I speed right by French phonology. Try to get me to roll r's and you'll get a very harsh guttural sound or something.

I found German was much simpler than French, Italian or Spanish. Also, I picked up more Dutch and Afrikaans in a few weeks than 5 years of French class.

I'm glad to see French is an 'easy language' to learn because that is the language I plan on learning soon.
