Organised by Bosniak minority in Kosovo (The largest minority ethnic group in Kosovo) the town of Prizren has comemorated the 20th anniversary of Srebrenica genocide.
Bosniaks, Albanians and others could be seen side by side, gathered in front of "Sezar Suroi" sport center, who then proceded to move in column down the "Adem Jashari" square, to the main town fountain. Among the participants were Rasim Demiri, a Bosniak minister in Kosovo government and 3 Bosniak representatives from Kosovo national assembly Duda Balje, Cerim Bajrami and Emilija Redzepi, along with other political and cultural figures from Bosniak and Albanian ethnic groups.
Albanian, Bosniak and Kosovo flags could be seen side by side, showing the unity between two largest ethnic groups in Kosovo and signaling bright future of that new and recently liberated country.
The atendees reminded everyone of the fact, that if the defense of Kosovo had failed, Srebrenica would have happened to them, and that heroes who fought against Serb agression in the Balkans, from Bosnia and Albania, should be remembered and honored.
15 Bosniaks also traveled from Kosovo to Srebrenica, to pay their respect, with full support of Kosovo government, who paid the travel fees
