No, but my citizenship case is pretty interesting to say the least.

Although I was born and raised in the US, the Cuban government apparently doesn't recognize the American citizenship of Cuban immigrants and their children. So as far as they're concerned, I'm solely a Cuban citizen, even though I am only an American citizen.

I found out I was born just three months too late for Irish citizenship. What pisses me off about it is my father and my grandparents and my whole paternal side were eligible but they never registered with the Office of Foreign Births. If they had gotten it, it would have passed on to my children until eternity.

I also could have been eligible for German citizenship, but my father didn't keep in contact with his German grandparents and no one on my paternal side since then (besides myself) has ever learned to speak German. Even if somehow I were eligible by proving my German blood, I wouldn't want to give up my US citizenship. Germany doesn't allow dual German-American citizenship unless you have a full German parent.

I could be chilling in Europe right now without a visa and no trouble, but alas, my paternal side has maintained that peculiar (i.e. stupid imho) American provincial attitude toward the old country, much to my own disappointment.

    I am a russian citizen.
I can officially get a citizenship in some other ex-USSR republics, if I refuse of russian one. But I do not want.

The only one another country, that I want to be a citizen of is a Canada. I made my research previously and I chose one the most desired country, where I want to live.
I think, Canada is more prosperous country with higher amount of opportunities and it far more perspective. It has official program of immigration.

Do you still have external and internal passports here?

The law is very expensive. You must to have one ethnic hungarian ancestor, non-ethnic people from Hungary does not matter and also speak hungarian (basic). I'm just 1/8 hungarian and can get it.

Now I realized, why I have two passports. I see, that it is a heritage from soviet union where government was trying to control migration of citizens. At that time was issued an internal passports to control internal migration of people and a foreign passport to control who travels abroad. I am realize now, that other countries do not have that system, it is a heritage from soviet times, like an employment record books, that we use today till this moment.
For instance, I know that employment books used today in Cuba and North Korea too, the same as in Russia now. It is a pain in the ass usually, because employer often may threaten to fire you with a record in this book.

I'm both a British and New Zealand citizen. I use whatever passport I deem best for the nations I'm visiting.
Nine out of ten concerns are completely unfounded.
