To be fair something should only be considered 'bad' if it hurts someone... Not gonna say it's wrong, though, they aren't hurting anybody.

I don't think you have to worry about cuckoldry becoming a norm. The vast majority of men will never get a sexual thrill out of it and most women will be disturbed by the thought of it.

This is probably not so much about preferance but realization that they can't satisfy their woman the same way someone else could. It's an attempt to save the sex life of the relationship. Sad really as the men are emasculated and probably made very insecure by the whole thing, forcing them to "convince themselves" in the head, making it appear as a fetish.
