Out of the big one that everybody will quote (game of throne, viking...), I will go for Ray Donovan. I love the main actor.
Edit: I probably miss understood your post. It wasn't about this kind of show.
I will say "Le dessous des cartes", it's a documentary show about country who is on arte. I think you can find the german version on youtube.

Besides the popular Game of thrones, and more or less Walking Dead, Westworld, I would say Stranger Things as well.
