Never before I have been this close to the Swedish component But as I wrote some pages ago, the Swedish component is more northern-shifted than usual.

Why is it sad? Every calculator has its differences, and this calculator is using some sort of ANE component for the Steppe component.

Chechens only have 25%.

Chechens don't speak Indo European, who cares? And this one doesn't use ANE for the steppe component, I'm hundred percent sure

Steppe peaking in Orcadians, Icelandic, Norwegians, steppe equal in Iberians and Balto-Slavs, Caucasian higher in MENA people than Near East.



Why do they even bother making these calcs? Just let Eurogenes do all the work.

This is correct, and already Haak 2015 noticed this fact (very high Yamnaya ancestry in Norwegians).

Icelanders are descended from Scandinavians and Insular Celts, both of whom have very high Steppe.

Recent publications show that the "Celtic Fringe" has more of Steppe ancestry than Southern England. The reason why is this the case, is that Southern England has extra Mediterranean admixture from Roman times.

I just ran it again and got different results.

It could be that i was drunk the first time and ran the wrong test or fudged the kit number. But im also drunk now and for sure these are the results i just got:
