Such cultural phenomenons aren't significant at all. They propagate by contiguity, so you can expect both Portuguese and Catalan popular cultures being closer to the central arch-dominant Iberian culture (i.e. Castilian Spain) than they are to each other.
On the other hand there are striking commonalities between Catalonia and Italy as far as sociology and social psychology are concerned.
Both countries share a specific petty bourgeois mindset, both anarchistic and conservative. People only care of their family businesses and have a poor loyalty to the States they belong to.
They also have a passion for visual arts and design, but I don't know if it's correlated to the former feature.

Personally, i think the only culture we have similar to the Catalan one is the "culture of indipendentism" that sadly influenced some narrow-minded Italians.
Jokes apart the only Catalan influence (though quite small today) is in Alghero. For the rest i don't think we have similar culture. Food not for sure...
