If you were to take that seriously you'd run over a dog before a person. Since dog's importance is only serving men, sacrificing one man's life for a stupid dog is counter-intuitive to that.

Not for the rest of the neighborhood. The concerns of dogs close by are real:
-Noisy disturbances (often unprovoked, in the middle of the night)

Yeah so are people. I've lived in some neighborhoods where they're trash. Drunk, rowdy, etc. People like that are worth less than dogs.

-Aggression (attempting to intimidate random people, cyclists, servicemen etc)

Poor training - same thing with dumb kids and useless parents.

-Droppings which spread disease (this is a serious concern too)

There's been more than a few articles about people pissing and shitting in public in western society alone. Then there's things like losers purposely spreading HIV/AIDS.

-Property damage

Same with useless humans.

-Harass native wildlife

Trophy hunters are trash.

-Can be a serious threat if large enough

So can humans.

-You can be fined if you deal with them accordingly (shooting or killing it with anything)

-Most houses storing dogs smell terrible (as do their owners, and this applies to a lesser extent to cats too)

I've never really understood them. Whereas a dog as a loving companion that will interact with you a lot, cats are more aloof, and usually only interact with you when they want you to feed them. To me a cat is just extra work and expense with no real reward.
