Nowadays the highest amount of Steppe-related ancestry is observed in Northern Europe.
Anyway, light features became common only sometime in the Bronze age. The Yamnaya is older than the Corded Ware and Sintashta who were obviously white.

The Kurgan theory is a 19th century myth. Proto IE populations arrived from Central Asia.
