Well, in fact I'm very mixed.

Italian from one side, Iberian + Berber + Native American + SSA + Central Asian by another. The fact is, my Central Asian side is a bit far (like I said, my great great grandfather came from there), but it seems I didn't get too much.

No, São Paulo State has a huge Italian community. From my mother side all great grandfathers are Italian (one side is Slovenian) and by father side 2 are Italians, too.

Well, the other father side is a "mess". One side is Iberian mixed with Berbers (dunno if Morisco in fact or mixed later, anyway); There are SSA and Ameridian mix too, and one Great Grandfather came from Central Asia, but was labelled as Lebanese (this was very common at that time).

That's why it's hard to get what is what here.

Lebanon was part of the Ottoman Empire back in the day, it's a Near Eastern country. However, there are some Turkmens in Syria, but they are not Christians.

Yeah, but the 1st part of Lebanese/Syrian immigration here was a total mess. Many of them changed their surname to a point that some people actually have Middle Eastern roots but don't know about it. My situation was a bit more complicated, since it seems they labelled my ancestor as "arab" but he came from a different country/place, not Syria or Lebanon.
