As with every good and truthful thread, I will start with a song.
Minute 3:20 -> Aman e Aman o Shiprioi https://youtu.be/39EWfntD9HM?t=203
Audio sample of Greek for the word Cypriots

I have of course discovered this alone and have no proof, but since they are so phonetically similar it is absolutely true.
Feel free to be fascinated by my genius discovery. No invitations needed.
Albanians are Shiprioi
They came from Tilliria, Cyprus
It only makes sense because they spoke a specific dialect of Cypriot called eteo-apheretic in which T was silent when it started the word.
Therefore, we get

Illiria.
Albanian itself is descended for the first Cypriot language. Proof? I need none. Sources? I don't need them, everything makes phonetic sense.
Illirians aka Albanians are basically a bunch of Cypriots who fled Cyprus with boats from Tilliria and founded Illiria. The kingdom of Illiria is Cypriot history.
Even Skanderberg is part Cypriot.

Albanians are a Cypriot population, if not THE Cypriot population in the Balkans.
Being Greek is an experienced grounded into nation, not consumption.

My grandma used to tell me that Albanians are of Cypriot origins but I thought it was an old wives' tale.

Let's unite and take Northern Cyprus![]()
Groundbreaking. After all these years of linguistic analysis the origin of Albanians has finally been determined. Also take note of the komboloi at exactly 2:58 in the linked video. It seems the Shiprioi (formerly Κύπριοι) have retained their culture and customs.

Further linguistic proof:
Cypriot "kotziakari" (pronounced gjyshegarë in modern Albanian script because in old (T)illirian tradition grandmas were very competitive)
Albanian gjyshe

On Cyprus in the tip of the Akamas you will find their birthplace, even today it is called Akrotirio Arnaoutis (the albanian cape).
