That's pure speculation, and unsupported by evidence.
Delmatae were Romanised and used Latin, Albanians descend from non-romanised people. Also Albanian language has poor naval vocabulary which means they descend from highlanders, not coastal tribes.
Delmatae and Liburnians were famous pirates just like Croats after them.
We have their ancestry for sure. Mix of White Croats, and them.
Otherwise we would plot in Poland and Ukraine, and we do not.
Dalmatia is how Romans called the region, after Delma (sheep), Illyrian word, but Illyrians themself never called region Dalmatia neither they had any sense of unity.
From 9th century, Dalmatia was known as Croatia, and only after it fell to Venetian hands, old Roman name was put back in use.

Yes, it is now part of Albanian language. Since Albanian language should be closest to all Illyrian.
Old Illyrians were people who warred between each other, who had no sense of unity and who used different tribal names. Illyrian name was given to them by foreigners, they never called themself that way.
I know for tribe Albanoi in modern Albania, and Albanians for sure descend from them. From Dardanians, Thraco-Illyrian mix, as well.
Others ? Possible, but no evidence for that whatsoever.
I can draw a parallel with Slavic tribes. Croats descend from White Croats, probably also Sclavenians, but not from Rus people, Lechitic tribes or Czechs.

J2b2-L283 is Illyrian Dalmatian marker. Its modern frequency in Croatia is like 1% nowadays.
These people moved to the highlands when the masses of Slavs arrived.

It's present, at 3% Note also that R1b at 5% is L23, not western branches
We already know absolute majority of Dalmatian Croats have Slavic paternal markers, which shouldn't be suprise, because first settlement of Croats was in Dalmatia.
More native lineages should be found in mtDNA.
