Japan and Korea are already developed as most european nations and china's not far behind. their economic prosperity will help them but thats not the reason why they'd be considered the standard of beauty since many across the world already appreciate east asian women.

In many western countries like US, Canada, UK, Australia east asian women are definitely the most chased after. Men flock to thailand, japan, vietnam, etc and have asian mail order brides because east asians discovered that white men love their women and they used it to their advantage to make profits through sex tourism.. Thailand and vietnam are no where near developed. Infact, vietnam has about the same gdp per capita as India so they're quite poor. The concept of yellow fever started in the past during vietnam war, korean war, british rule over hong kong, etc.. Pretty sure all the nations that consider asian women unattractive will be surprised once they get exposed to them.

White men obviously find them attractive so thats the main reason. If anything, most asian women, including the ones that date white men quite often, idolize kpop dudes and find east asian men more attractive. They just get with white men for fun as an alternative. Asian girls get chased after by men from all races so its definitely not like they are going with white men due to lack of options or something.

You live in Italy so you might not see that many asians on a regular basis but in UK, US and other countries with huge east asian presence you'll get to see how attractive they are and how many men go after them.

For men, I agree michaelangelo type dudes still hold it as the most aesthetic but for women its definitely shifting to the far east.

The Nordsinid look being more prized than the Sudsinid look has less to do with Western influence than with China's own history though.

The original Chinese were Nordsinid. China's civilization started in the Northern plains. Northern Chinese are to the Chinese race, like Anglo/Saxons and Germanics (WASPS) are to White America, they form the very core, the most genuine element of that culture. Historically, Northern China has also dominated the politics and orientation of the Chinese nation. Not to mention that a couple dynasties ruled by Mongols and Manchus, were made up of Sinicized northern nomads. So naturally, this equates to the Nordsinid look being the standard, and it dominates East Asia.

Of course, western features have also deeply influenced modern Asian pop cultures with preferences now towards big boobs, more slender faces, big eyes, etc. Those are direct influences from Western culture.

European civilazation didn't start in North Europe...so your comparison makes no sense.... And the core of western culture is still Greek-Roman.. see classical "statues" ..
