At Manzikert battle in 1071, Seljuks were circa 50k and Byzantines 100k. Seljuks won.
At Dorylaeum battle in 1097, Seljuks of Rum were 10k and Crusaders 60k. Crusaders won but suffering heavy casualties.
At the Crusade of 1101, Seljuks of Rum and allies were like 20k and they defeated 3 separated Crusading armies each numbering around 30k.
At Myriokephalon battle in 1176, Seljuks of Rum were 40k and defeated the Byzantines who numbered 70-80k.
Ottomans were good too up until 15th century.
Turks acquired their respected image of strong warriors during the Seljuk era, that's when Westerners admired Turkish prowess.
