I forgot the Basque guy, so here's the plot with the Basque guy included: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/1586/geoflip2.png
And the coordinates: http://www.box.net/shared/9ck4cg0qdp87pre9irgn
EDIT: To summarize, the process was...
Load the IBS matrix with the following as components (i.e. the columns of the matrix), but only the Europeans of that group as the data points (i.e. the rows of the matrix):
Spanish (SW)
French (W)
Italian, N Italian and Tuscan (S)
Irish and Cornwall (NW)
Scandinavian (N)
Ukrainian and Mordvin (E)
Bulgarian and Greek (SE)
Cypriot and Turkish (ESE)
Adyghe, Chechens and Lezgins (North Caucasus)
Use the loadings of that plot to calculate coordinates for the rest of the Euros. However, since the originals on the plot are enormously boosted to their areas of the plot by their self-IBS scores of 1, you have to find a relationship of the original coordinate of some test-case original individuals with where they’d be if their own IBS score was changed to the average within-population IBS (minus the “1” values). It’s best to use samples from around the center of each extreme (i.e. furthest north, south, east, and west) population and use them to find the equations for the new individuals:
New Axis 1 coordinate = (2.176556872*Axis 1 coordinate) + 0.010960173
New Axis 2 coordinate = (3.407532703*Axis 2 coordinate) + 0.029440434
And then just flip Axis 1 and Axis 2, multiply the coordinates of the New Axis 2 by -1, and it looks geographical.

So, oddly, I (US239) end up right on top of Loki (SAEU1) in this plot:
(Circled in red, down & right of the massive British cluster.)
Our respective coordinates:
US239 -0.017583129 0.019062536
SAEU1 -0.017843137 0.019057021
I still don't know how to figure out my closest matches with Polako's most recent data. Can someone tell me how? I'll give you some rep points.![]()

Interesting how you could, with slight modification, arrange the Europe map over it and it would be close.
Quickly drew this in less than 1 minute, so don't neg rep me that I can't draw Europe!
& I'm MD1 by the way- I think I barely registered as European. I wonder where Turks would be on this?
