AncestryDNA Y prediction is accurate but it wont give subclade. But it wont predict you R1b if you are R1a for example, it gives accurate base hg without doubt. Stears was precited I1 by ancestry raw data and he indeed did turn I1 after taking separate STR test. I never heard Ancestry Y prediction was false except on subclade level, simply not true IMO.

One thing I like in 23andme is that it gives you the possibility to see your results in different confidence levels. It is very important because most ancestries provide results at confidence level 50%. 23andme gives the opportunity to see your results at 90% confidence level. It is usually very broad but you can be certain that the information you receive is real and not noise. Another thing is that you can learn which is your haplogroup.

Go for Ancestry Dna!
It's the raw dna what is important not the ethnicity estimation itself and the raw data you will get from Ancestry DNA will be better than the one from 23andMe with less SNP's than the Ancestry one!
After that, it's easy to determine your y-dna, just upload your raw data to Morley's calculator or wegene!
Morley has been very accurate for me.
And the last and not the least, for ethnicity estimation, just upload your data to Gedmatch or use those DIY(make yourself) calculators that you will find on forums like this one!
Or, give coordinates to Lukasz Macuga or Davidski for just 7& or 12$ and you will get much better ethnicity estimation than the one provided by either company!

My older 23andme data predicted I was I1. Makes sense. I believe Morley gave me 4 predictions, with the first one being something like I2. I'm extremely conflicted on what to do. I'd like to know what it is for sure. Is WeGene's prediction accurate? If I have more than one test confirming either I1 or I2 maybe I can finally be certain.

Wegene is very accurate. As is 23andme.
I doubt you got I2 as first place on Morley, thst sound strange. You are probably another I1.
Plug your data to Wegene and check it, it even correctly assigned my mtdna subclade just like 23andme did.
Wegene works for 23andme raw data.
