The only thing that could bring the US down is a bloody civil war. Not even the 22 trillion dollar debt can undermine America. The US can owe the world 100 trillion dollars, who will force America to pay them back, lol? Lending money to America is like giving it away. You won't get it back, like ever, hahaha.

The interest payments on that debt is like 365 billion. I don't even want to think about how much we have in unfunded liabilities. There may come a day when interest payments on the federal debt is greater than the amount we spend on the military. It's absurd.

As a kid I loved the Rambo films but as an adult I hate them except for the first one. The first was a great action film but also important that it brought up the issue of how American society ignored the psychological scars of many Vietnam veterans and how they were relegated to the margins of society. Today American society gives veterans of the Iraqi and Afghanistan wars the big thumbs up and pats on the back, which is the opposite experience of Vietnam War veterans (many of whom were drafted and so they didn't have a choice in the matter).
