The media are actually very complete about it. They aren't totally silent, but a Belgian is an apathetic person when it comes to global politics. I think it's ingrained in our mentality of having belonged to empires for centuries.
Our country is also tiny. The most popular Flemish party is against it and most people don't want to accept more refugees and are wary of any treaty potentially making it harder for us to control migration, that is still la fact.
