On individual level income per capita means lot of course. But on global politics you can start seeing a "paradigm shift" because of total Chinese economic power. USA is still a *soft power superpower* far beyond what those numbers would suggest.

Erm... no. They won't surpass the USA in 2050, it's happening now already! By 2050 China's economy will be much larger than the USA's. And the GDP per capita is increasing all the time, as the Chinese economy matures. Remember, the Chinese people are of high IQ... higher than Indonesia or Thailand. China, Japan and Korea have the highest IQ populations.

Out of amity to OP and this site, I have to say it will not be optimistic for the US in spite of whatever agreement you can make with communist China. If I continue to talk like a philosopher, people will be spoiled by me. Sorry I have to withhold critical points here, you people have to work on your own to save your ideas and your identity. Neverthlessly, I am still for trade justice, for a balanced world system, for USA to continue to prosper.

I may have been wrong to say the west is appeasing commies, since their own democratic, capitalist systems are rattling on their own causes. I hate conspiracy theories, and I warn against them, no matter how real they seem to be, scratching your heads over these stuff will not get you anywhere. To work on the current facts would be more than beneficial for you, there is no time for useless presumptuous thinkings if you care.
