Italian influence is normal for Dalmatia.
My ancestors used a lot of borrowed Italian words. Even me still use some of them.
For example my great-grandmother for room used word Kamara, from Italian Camera https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_da_letto
My father still say Pijet for a plate, from Italian Piatto https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piatto_(stoviglia)

Fortis described Morlachs in very positive light.
Morlak, who lives far from the coasts and occupied places, is generally speaking a totally different moral man from us. Honesty, trust and fairness
of these good people, both in everyday life practices and in contracts,
somehow he gets lost in foolishness and stupidity. "11 Then," When I left such a good boss, he and all his family followed me to look and did not
they went into the house until I lost sight of them. That wonderful breakthrough caused me
it is in the soul of the gang that I have never felt before and I do not hope to spot it
traveling to Italy. "12 About Friendship:" Friendship that is subject to change for the smallest reasons for us, among the Morlaci is very persistent. "13 About pleading
feelings and passions: "The innocence and the natural freedom of the shepherd's centuries are still held in Morlaba or at least their very great traces in places that are
away from our settlements. There is no clear sense of sympathy here
is clearly expressed by external characters irrespective of the circumstances ... During the holidays and
cheerful, besides kissing, allows some other freedom of arms, as we would
they considered it unenviable, but they do not hold that it is so ... "14

South Slavs as they existed in 5th-6th century A.D. do not exist.
Throughout 1500 years, Slavic input has decreased while Roman/Byzantine/Ottoman has increased.
If South Slavic people intermarried with Illyrian/Thracian populace for 1500 years, the result is that neither South Slavs, nor Illyrians nor Thracians remained what they were... they are all Mix of those 3.
That explains why Romanians, Serbians, Bulgarians are very close to each other and the fact that we don't know where those Illyrians and Thracians disppeared is for the fact that they have been
absorbed and mixed into that Thraco-Slavic populace.
Peterski, a member on this forum clearly explained:
1. Romanian
2. Bulgarian
3. Serbian
is clearly a mix of Slav + PaleoBalkan Illyrian, Thracian.
Neither Greeks are pure, they also have Slavic, Anatolian influence.
average Serb:
30% Slavic
30% Mediterranean
30% Celtic and Germanic
10% Various
It is an absurd to say that Serbs, Romanians or Bulgarians are NOT paleobalkan people or heirs to Ancient Balkan, they absolutely ARE, they are not guilty for mixing with various people.
Autosomal after all is the most important not Y-DNA, cause you are that what your ancestors were in the last 500 years. Who cares about 4000 B.C.
